Where do you rank Kang/Calvancante/Mousasi/Aoki now??
I have Shinya Aoki at 4, behind BJ, Sherk and Gomi... I am basing this on who I think is better, so even though Shinya just beat JZ, I put him below a guy like Gomi, because I think Gomi is a better fighter. If there was a point system or something, Shinya would be ahead.
I have Calvan in 8th never thought I would have him there after the event. Although the guys above him, he has beaten none of them. So I have the 4 i mentioned, + Ishida, Kawajiri and Gil Melendez, I can't wait to see Calvan fight some of these guys.
Denis Kang is actually out of my top 10 now, I really don't know what to think, the talent is obviously there, but Anderson, Lindland, Henderson, Franklin, Akiyama, Filho, Okami, Almeida, Misaki and Mousasi i have above him. I have Mousasi in 10th for the moment.
One other question, who would you pick in rematches for Aoki vs. JZ and Mousasi vs. Kang?

I would pick JZ (again) to win a rematch with Aoki, he just didn't fight with a very good gameplan, unlike their first meeting.
As for Kang/Mousasi, I think I'd be hard-pressed to pick. Kang was doing well up until the triangle-choke, but Mousasi's really improving with each fight. I think I may take Mousasi if they rematch, I was on the fence about it (see my topic) before. I think I may be one of the few guys on the forum riding the Mousasi Express.

yeah, seriously, wtf kind of gameplan was that?
aoki = good on the ground, horrible standup
so he takes him down? why not just sprawl and brawl?

Exactly, he had a definitive stand-up advantage.
I think Aoki's a really talented ground-fighter, but I actually hate him. I rewatch his fight with Jutaro Nakao frequently, because watching him get knocked out gives me a chubby.. EVERY time. Arrogant little shit.

Aoki's number 1 both LW & P4P.
Calvan, number 2 LW.
Mousasi, maybe 10, maybe lower, don't know yet. MW.
Kang, out. MW.
That Nakao fight was one of his first fights. He's gotten so much better. His stand-up is actually getting better. Plus, Jutaro definitely doesn't suck.

Aoki is probably the only prick of a fighter that I really like. I mean, he has so much talent that I can semi-accept him being an a hole. He wasn't a huge douche towards JZ which was nice.
If I went by who can beat who, I'd have freaking Ishida and Hansen in my top 3, so I don't rank people that way as most people would freak out if they saw like Hansen in my 1 spot for LW (I still think he will be by the end of the GP though, mark my words!!!)

When Aoki caught JZ in that omoplata/armbar position I could swear JZ's arm was going to break.
