Fill me in on Ishida
A lot of you guys have been saying great stuff about him, and he beat Gilbert Melendez, so I ask: Who is Ishida? Is there any good footage I should see? Because I'm ashamed to say I haven't heard that much about him...

Ishida is a special fellow. He is as tiny as they get, but he is still probably one of the fastest and athletic fighters out there. He is always exciting and never backs down. A lot of people complain that fights that go to decision are boring, and yes, alot of his fights have gone to decision, but I believe Ishida is one of the only guys out there that can make a decision as exciting as possible.
They call him the "Endless Fighter" because just as the name says, he never stops, hes constantly coming at you, overwhelming you with his quick wrestling and lightening footwork.
He's personally my favourite lightweight (with Gomi in second) out there and I'm rooting full force for him to win the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix.

Ishida has one of the best double leg takedowns anywhere. He is super quick. He passes guard like it's not even there. His wrestling as a whole is superb.
On top of that he rocks a mean cauliflower ear.

Speaking of which, where is Gomi these days? Why isn't he in the tournament?

He's a good fighter. A solid wrestler, who constantly goes for stuff and is busy, busy, busy. He'll take you down and work you over. Pretty much, he's a nightmare match-up for guys like Aurelio, because he has solid sub defense and doesn't just stay in the guard.
I pray that my Buscape beats him, though.
I thought he was pretty much done for after Gomi easily whomped him. He vanished for a while, but has since been all awesome by defeating Melendez. Ishida got his groove back, it seems. He beat a scrappy dude in Jung recently.

Gomi has destroyed some solid fighters, like utter beatdowns (Sakurai, CRUSHAA, Ishida). Hopefully he gets his shit together.
I was hoping to see Ishida against JZ, ah well. Plenty of other good possibilities.
