Yeah, real bold move from Shaw. In one had, Diaz could have pulled his career back together with Inoue, who is pretty good, on the other hand, Shaw wants to keep his interests in having Diaz still fight for him.

Salty move from Shaw if you ask me.

This just has been added to my list of reasons why I don't like Shaw. He makes such a big deal about cross promotion because its better for the fighters but then pulls out on a deal because it could possibly interfere with his show. When I think the fans would like to see Nick fight over in Dream more so than they would like to see him fight in EliteXC.

I don't blame Shaw for this, if he was only told the other day then its FEG's fault.
Shaw hasn't done anything wrong.

Anyway, they'll probably just skip this match and have Sakurai vs. Diaz for the title. So yeah, thats fine by me.

It sucks but then you have to look at it from Shaw's perspective. Diaz is probably one of his biggest draws. A draw that has a fight coming up in an Elite XC event. With his fight coming up soon anything could happen with his fight with Inoue that could screw that up. How does Shaw profit if his star gets too ****ed up to fight on one of his (EliteXC) cards?

This is exatly what Gary Shaw bitched Dana out for though. He said that Dana wasn't looking out for the best interest of the fighter by not cross promoting. Now what would be better for Diaz, fighting in EliteXC or Dream? Its got to be dream but because that could mess with Shaw's plans he aexed Diaz going to fight in Dream. It seems to me at least that he is pretty much doing what he said Dana was doing.

It's not the same thing from what I understand.

They had agreed on a previous date that didn't conflict with Diaz' upcoming EXC bout, then that date was cancelled and they moved the bout much closer to the EXC bout.

Sucks, but a far cry from the monopoly DW holds over his fighters. Diaz will be in DREAM soon enough.

Diaz needs to get out of my DREAM and into my car... Or out of my car and into DREAM...

Either way I can't put the blame on Shaw here. They changed the date without consulting him and it potentially conflicts with one of his fights. Ah well, let's just hope "Real Chocolate" vs. "Mach" happens. That's the fight I really want to see.
