Yea but that had a lot to do with him not knowing how to choke with the gloves on in his MMA debut. Jacare has grappled with gloves on before and is used to choking guys with them on.
Monson vs Sylvia had a lot to do with Sylvia's height. Plus Monson is a proven grappler in MMA to he wasn't a new guy in MMA.

I'm actually picking Mayhem as well. I think we all agree he is better in the standup but if it gets to the ground I just think he is a good enough grappler and expierenced enough to hold off Jacare.

I was using that example because Monson is a world class grappler, and Sylvia isn't even known as a grappler, so even if Jacare has world class grappling that doesn't mean his MMA grappling is better than Mayhem's (and I want Jacare to win).

Yea I know but that's such a strange example since Monson is 5'9 and Sylvia is 6'8 I mean when your opponent has a foot height advantage it changes things around.

Jacare isn't a pure BJJ guy. Also when a world class grappler faces a very good mma grappler on the ground the world class guy has the advantage.

Jacare via forfeit after Mayhem slips on one of the props he brings out during his entrance.

If Miller doesn't chill out and fight the smart fight, I see him getting his ass submitted. Jacare is training seriously, I could see him growing as a fighter at a fast pace. GSP was whomping mofo's with 7-8 fights under his belt, not trying to make a direct comparison, but fighters with little experience can do great things...
Plus, I don't think Miller is all that good.

Here's more on the talk between the two leading up to the fight. Even if you don't want to read the article just click on the link for a funny pic of Miller being, um well Miller:
