Instead of WAR SAKU~! it's please don't die Sakuraba. It's defiently time for the legend to retire, no more vicious beatings. He really should have called it quits earlier and just went back to pro wrestling, doing mma on the side (like fights with Funaki, Minowa etc.)

I love to see someone getting smashed as much as the next guy, but it's got to the point where Sakuraba has taken way too many serious beatings (even when he wins!). The amount of punches he's taken in his career just from holding on to the single-leg alone, must run in to the thousands. He's a big hero of mine and I just don't want to see him become the "Muhammad Ali of MMA".

He should retire before someone like Manhoef puts him in a coma.

You are aware that he beat Rampage and a lot of other good fighters too, right? Just because he's past his prime now doesn't mean he wasn't a great fighter.

Also Rampage tore Saku up before he got caught in the RNC.

You must be one of those "new" MMA fans. if you have no appreciation for what the gracies or sakuraba did for MMA, then you're not an MMA fan at all.

Doesn't EVERYONE practice BJJ now? Where did that all come from?

well hes like 8 - 2 in his last 10 ( dunno the exact number ) so i dont know about retirement. but yeah he was given a severly bad beating from mayhem. but keep in mind that mayhem hits HARD. But i get the point, i actually found myself hoping the judge would put an early stoppage to it. he could seriously have gotten killed in that fight

last time i checked, sakuraba beat your shamrock in the first round via TKO.

if you can sit there and say that about the gracies and sakuraba, with ur supposed "watching MMA since UFC 4", no offence, but you are an idiot.

go onto Wikipedia and see who sakuraba has beaten.

Shogun is my homeboy.
