The Cage in Dream

How do you feel about Dream introducing a five sided cage for there next event? Im not crazy about it, i like having at least one organization that has big name fighters still using a ring. I feel like fights are more exciting in a ring and fighters dont have as much of an opportunity for layNpray wins. Im also not crazy about them having all five minute rounds and doing away with the ten minute opening round, i felt like that long round kept a lot of fights from going to a decision. Thoughts?

I prefer the cage, but I've always liked that the Japanese orgs tend to use rings. I've always thought that the perfect situation would be UFC with the top talent in the world, then a few other organizations in the US to develop young talent, and then an org in Japan that uses a ring, just to have something different.

My only problem with the ring is when fights have to be stopped and restarted in the middle of the ring because a fighter is tangled in the ropes, i don't like referee's interrupting the flow of the fight.

Id prefer if they stuck with the ring its good to have something different, also the dream cage looks lame!

Unhappy DREAM Cage

I just hope that this is an experiment and not the standards by which DREAM will continue to run their matches from now on!

Never been a fan of the ring and i dont understand how anyone can be, They are just a total nuisance when the fight goes to the floor, feet arms and heads get tangled in the ropes all the time, theres just no reason to have them in MMA IMO.

I agree,

This is another huge loss to old school MMA lovers who cry themselves to sleep occasionally to the thought of Pride...and now the last true remaining factor...the ring.

Lightbulb Hold Over

Well they will have to have a ring for the Dynanmite card cause they are going to have K-1 matches and title matches in the ring. I think this is just going to be an occasional thing and not just a standadization.
