IF Sokoudjou wins the Super Hulk, is that his ticket back to the UFC?
Does the UFC take this tournament seriously? I mean if he beats Sapp and HMC, thats impressive, but can that get him back into the UFC? I'de love to see him fight Forrest, Rashad, Thiago, Jardine, etc.
Discuss.

Return to the UFC
Well its possible but considering that his first opponent was a kickboxer with a loosing MMA record and his second opponent has lost three of his last four fights, Dana may not consider this tournament to be credible.

I doubt it. He appeared to be severely overrated, and wins over some competition that is mediocre at best, no matter how big they are, means pretty much nothing IMO.

I dont think he will come back to the UFC, i think he will get a shot at the strikeforce strap if he wins this tournament. Wasnt he supposed to face Mousasi in this freakshow anyway?

Yes, and he would have gotten raped. Mousasi is so much more a complete fighter that it isn't even funny.

Man, I love Sokoudjou and truly hope he reaches his full potential one day.
He's 24 or 25 so he's young and has more than enough time to develop into an A level fighter ala Fedor, Anderson, Georges, Gegard, BJ, etc. Maybe one day the UFC will bring him back once he beats a couple of good fighters and shows he's not the same fighter who got beat by Babalu/Cane.
The man's exciting to watch win or lose. I'll always be a fan and will root for him to punch Minowa's head clean off his shoulders.

The fact that he wanted to fight Gegard gave him some more points in my book. I just think he has a hard time translating his skill from the gym to a fight, he fights with an ego, and that is bad.
I think he could make another run at some point for sure, but not from this tourney.

HMC is a good kick boxer, but that's due to his size. Neither of these guys were or will ever be serious competitors, they get buy on mass. I enjoy watching both of them fight, but I can't see Dana considering them "worthy" opponents.
Sokky's antics from his first fight was... wow there aren't any words to describe how awful it was to watch him pummel a defeated opponent around the ref. Super hulk = freakshow. I love it, but we all know how Dana views this Japanese tradition.
He'll come back to UFC one day I'm sure of it, but he'll have to beat some high level competition first. How many top light-heavies are left outside the UFC?

Strikeforce
I think if Souki gets a few wins in Strikeforce then he will get back into the UFC.

If he were some how able to beat Mousassi than than I defiantly think the UFC would be calling but that would be much more credible than winning this tournament considering that he has also had a pretty easy run to the finals by not facing Mousassi or even Hunt for that matter.
