Y'all are looking at this the wrong way. what are the motivations to be a fighter?

to test yourself
to fight the best fighters you can
to make a name for yourself in the fightsport world
to make as much money as possible fighting

Pick any of those and name a better option for Todd right now than Overeem.

I'm sure some fighters, not to mention any names(Jon Jones), would hire an actuary to calculate all of the pros and cons to their career of each possible outcome before his manager decided what to do.

WAR TODD

I hear you.. but Alastair is no Russow..... Todd is really gonna need to tread lightly when he's opening up here....

I don't think hes ready in anyway for a striker of Alstairs calibur...

Of course, that's what is probably going to happen. But we're all human and the upside of Todd beating Overeem stupid is.....well, it's really big.

It's 15 minutes. 15 minutes that could change his life and the worst thing that can happen is he gets his ass kicked really bad.

I never even liked the guy until now. I wouldn't want him handling my 401k but I love him as a fighter.

AFAIK Dream have never 'officially' had a Heavyweight title. They are introducing one by making the winner of this fight the Interim Champ.

PS. Does Duffee get a Take Out delivered at 3.30 ??? lol

Belt ...schmelt.... this is Todds OLYMPIC SUPERBOWL. His chance of a lifetime.

As the sport and the talent pool grow opportunities like this will all but disappear. Sure, he's probably in for a beating,... but maybe not. we all know "anything can happen in a fight" come next year Todd Duffee just might be the name every reporter in the sport wants to ask Dana about.

I agree with you.

It's a HUGE chance for him!!!

He has absolutely nothing to lose. So why not?!!

Weigh in pics:

PS: Duffee's face expression is like: "oohh well...whan can i do?!" lol
