It was a pro-wrestling event as well as MMA and kickboxing.

It was a copromotion of FEG (owns DREAM) and IGF (Inoki Genome Federation, a professional wrestling organization) for a big event.

I'm not a fan of combining the two in an event either, but the Japanese don't seem to mind. There's a lot of crossover between the two over there. Most of their original MMA organizations were started by pro wrestlers.

Some people think that they can convey either a philosophy on life or a complex political statement using a signature on the internet. I'm not one of them.

I would say the blatant pro wrestling would be less disgusting. At least then maybe they could do some crazy moves and be more seperated from the real thing. The Sylvia/La Banner "fight" was just like watching a very bad and light sparring session where they showed nothing and acted like the super slow weak shots were hurting.

Well remember that Japanese prowrestling is different from American prowrestling. But I agree that it would be more of a spectacle. Sylvia versus LaBanner was definately a different fight.
