Her victory at Saturday's Strikeforce show is behind her and a superfight with Gina Carano is ahead of her, but Cristiane "Cris Cyborg" Santos isn't done being trashed in the MMA community for her failure to make weight the day before her victory over Hitomi Akano.

Josh Barnett, who was in Akano's corner Saturday night, posted a message on his MySpace page in which he bashes Cyborg for her "menstrual cycle excuse" and for having "no intention of making weight." He then goes on:

I mean it seemed apparant that she didnt give a shit to make the weight......dunno why she did that she seemes likke she would have whipped that other girl anyway....

There's no excuse for that. There's no surprise everyone's giving her problems.It makes it even worse that apparantly, she wasn't even trying to make weight.

If she is blaming it on the menstrual cycle, then it would be a bitch to cut weight when you are suffering at that time of the month. You try sucking water out of your body, have your kidneys ache and also have to deal with cramps....it's not easy.
I'm not defending Cyborg but I also empathise.

I can see why you would say that, but the problem is that she wasn't even trying to make weight. She just didn't care and figured they'd just deal with it.
