K-1 World GP: Pick the Winner

This is gonna be tough guys. I'm gonna make the odds pretty sweet so you can make some real bank if you bet correctly, but the fighter you choose needs to win 3 fights.

Bet at your own risk.

You may only bet on one fighter...so choose wisely.

Some hints/history:

1. Semmy Schilt is the 2 time Defending Champion.
2. Peter Aerts is a 3 time Champion. He has the easiest route to the finals.
3. Remy Bonjasky is the 2003/2004 Champion.
4. Le Banner/Choi have the hardest route, facing themselves, then Schilt, then the finals.

Good choices for the odds. They're quite fair, I think. I'll put 20 mill on Semmy. I really think Semmy is too good now to not win. Hong Man causes him problems but I think JLB might box Hong Man up a bit, hopefully.

My heart wants JLB to win but my brain says Semmy will win.

There's no logical reason for me to pick anybody besides Semmey (baring injury). BUT, I' hoping for one last run of Peter Aerts, so I'll throw some points on him.

Man, I wished I'd known this sooner. I bet all my points on the Guida fight.

***SPOILER***

Well just like I thought, JLB boxed Hong Man up and got the decision. Here are the QF results.

Jerome Le Banner def. Hong-Man Choi on points
Semmy Schilt def. Glaube Feitosa on points
Remy Bonjasky def. Badr Hari on points
Peter Aerts def. Junichi Sawayashiki via TKO in round 1

Here are the SF fights.

Jerome Le Banner vs. Semmy Schilt
Remy Bonjasky vs. Peter Aerts

Apparently Hari got robbed, apparently he outworked Bonjasky the whole fight. I wouldn't be suprised. He has been awesome in his last few fights. That's really unfortunate for him.

Yay, I win 60,000. As if I needed it anyways. Yet to catch the fights though. I will try and watch them tomorrow.
