The guy was outstriking both JZ Calvancanti and Eddie Alvarez two guys who outstrike most fo their opponents. How is his stand up not damn good?

Because he's a classic case of "Chute Box" brawling. It doesn't mean he's a good striker, but he is still effective.
I'm talking from a technical stand point.

I think this fight will show exactly how good Dida's striking really is. Dida is more suited for mma striking more so than he is K-1 but if he is able to win or hold his own I think it will say a lot.

That's a fair point Plazz but MMA wise he is someone I don't think anyone at 155 wants to stand with.

Of course, but I still think someone with a strong enough straight can flatten him.

Who at LW has a better jab than Alvarez who has very good boxing?
Also Dida throws better kicks than most Chute Boxe fighters.

Um, judging from his last fight, Uno has a good jab. We all know how insane BJ's jab is. He'll Sherk's boxing is pretty crisp as well, as is Griffin and of course Gomi.
Oh yeah, which leads me to my new point. Gomi is a better striker than Dida.

Speaking of Sherk, he would actually be able to use his striking against Dida since they are pretty much the same height.

Another Kevin Randleman character?
I'm not referring to anything about Kev other than his steadfast refusal to learn BJJ.
