Best K-1 Hero's EVER!!!

I'll leave the kickboxing stuff to dudes who pop boners for Ernesto Hoost's dancing.

K-1 Hero's 2 (07/06/05).

Holy shit, Akiyama sneers and sneers and sneers, and is shown grappling with people and pwning them. That was awesome. Even more awesome (Awesomer?), was when freakin' Akiyama armbarred Carl Toomey in, like, a minute. So slick, so awesome, so sneery, so Akiyama.

Sapp vs Karaev was a fun big dude war. Bob Sapp didn't take a dive and Karaev was game. Karaev goes down in hilarious fashion, too.

Min Soo Kim sucks. Thankfully, he gets whomped by Ray Sefo. Yes, Sefo actually fights MMA here and doesn't do that bad of a job.

Tokoro vs Pequeno was AWESOME!!!! A FOTYC for 05 and probably the best fight in Hero's history not named Uno vs Hansen. So, so, so great. 2 of my fav's just go balls out here. Pequeno executes some swank slams and an even swanker guillotine attempt. Tokoro brings the fun GnP and the SWANKTASTIC spinning backfist that blasts Nogueira. If you haven't seen this, then, well, I feel sorry for you.

Takaya whomps Lax. It's Takaya whomping a fool, what more can you ask for?

Hey, Miyata doesn't suck for once! Miyata's sort of underrated and has talent. But, he often gets smoked by better fighters. Here, he's able to actually show his ground skillz against some dude with a long ass last name.

Hello, my name is Murahama, I just got killed by Morkevicius. Good day, sir!

Peter Aerts actually pulls off a motherfreakin' omoplata in his training video. AERTS DOES AN OMO!!!! Holy shit, I marked out. Aerts whomps some fat sumo wrestler, while Akebono is shown sneering in the crowd. Hell yes!

Royler's a total badass against Koji Yoshida. Royler's sort of underrated. I mean, the guy was probably 150 pounds soaking wet, yet he fought guys like Sakuraba, Kid Yamamoto and Genki Sudo. That's balls. Rickson should take notes.

Kid vs Schaffa was fun stuff. Schaffa's so totally game, while Kid's all, "You want me to punch you where? In your face? SURE!"

So yeah, great show, and the best Hero's ever, even better than Hero's 1 which had the ridiculously great Hansen vs Uno fight (Which I loved). So totally recommended.

Discuss.

Yes sir, that Heroes event is sick but none of them can top Dynamite USA

Seriously though this event is sick. I wasn't as exited about Royler as you are though. For some reason I hate Gracies and I would be satisfied if every one of them got their shit kicked in every time. Don't know why but its just the way I feel about them....I feel hate!

Akiyama always impresses and this fight is no different.

Bob Sapp is always an entertaining substitute for a real fighter and he actually beat a decent guy here. Go figure. I prefer to see him on the other end though like when JLB maimed him. Sapp always ends up with the "Help, I want my Mommy look an his face", its hilarious to see a guy that big be such a *****.

All in all this card was sick, good call Damone.

Hey D, you ever thought about doing some retro watches for Japanese events? Or hell just some more Retro Watches period (must include SEG era!)?

I've got a few K-1 Hero's, I might do some Hero re-watches.

Royler, man, I used to not care for the guy, but he does get props for showing balls and fighting great fighters. Dude fought Sakuraba, and Saku was way bigger than him (Not to mention Saku was GREAT at that time). Sure, he spent all the fight on his ass, but man, dude showed balls.
