Brock's next opponent?
Tow fighters with very little MMA experience are getting alot of press and forum attention: Brock Lesnar and Kimbo Slice.
Brock has a billion fans from his WWE days.
Kimbo has a million fans from his street thug YouTube fights.
People keep saying "Kimbo is seriously getting into MMA" over and over again.
If he's getting into MMA why is he fighting a guy who has never fought MMA?
It's great that he's getting trained by el Guapo et al, but until he fights someone with a grappling background, muay thai background or BJJ, don't call this an MMA match.
Unless Kimbo learned the takedown and how to do ankle locks, this Mercer fight is going to be a stand-up strikers match which has no "Mixed" in the equation of MMA at all.
At least Brock Lesnar's first "MMA" match involved the mount and GnP which isn't something a pure wrestler is used to (don't even bother telling me how his WWE days gave him striking experience).
In fact, wouldn't that have been a better first MMA match? Kimbo vs. Brock?
A gifted, athletic striker with no prior MMA experience and lots of public exposure trained by Bas Rutten and Shawn Tompkins
VS.
A gifted, athletic wrestler with no prior MMA experience and lots of public exposure trained by Royce Gracie and Greg Nelson (Sherks coach)
Who takes that matchup?
Be honest people.
