I'm a Kang fan, so I hope I don't come off all nuthuggerish, but he just got caught with a good uppercut, thats it. He was doing very well before a glancing blow broke his nose, and really, he was doing good after that. Akiyama just threw a bomb that put him out.

Kang's still a good fighter. I think he's always been given a little too much credit. His loss to Misaki proved he wasn't yet top's in the MW Division and he's still not there, but he did good in this fight.

Meanwhile, is Akiyama Top 10 yet? Damn, dude's a beast...

see thats a true mma fan right there, a fighter you like lost to somebody he was supposed to destroy but you sucked it up and stuck by your fighter. Unlike somebody (wont mention names lol) who went on a hissy fit when shogun lost...

I wouldn't say that he was supposed to destroy Akiyama, since Akiyama is a solid fighter. I thought Kang vs Akiyama was a nice match-up, actually.

Kang got caught, it happens.

The blood was hurting his vision too. I lol'd at Akiyama getting the full run down for grease.

With the exception of Silva and Franklin, Kang is one of my favorite MW's. Just because someone loses to a good fighter, doesn't mean they no longer are good. I just watched Lindland vs Fedor, and Lindland said he was embarrassed and would love to redeem himself. Ummmm, you lost to the best fighter. Why should you be embarrassed?
This does however show that he isn't quite ready for Silva yet. He is a great fighter, and I think after mabey a couple of years or show he will be ready.
