LeBanner isn't what he used to be so unfortunetly I see CC taking this. I have a feeling it will stay standing because CC will be too proud to get the win on the ground like you said.

IF the fight stays on the feet though there is still the chance that Geronimo could put him lights out. Thats really what I'm hoping for and LeBanner has proven that he can't be counted out but he's a bit sluggish these days so I think that CC will be the more crisp fighter.

He still has most of his power and that seems to be what he needs to rely on for this fight.

Yeah, it's Jerome Le Banner and it's not even close, not even by a mile. The dude is probably the greatest King without a Crown. He has fought virtually everyone in K-1 and then some. He's also beat pretty much everyone (and lost to a few).

I think he would have definitely been the K-1 Champ in 01 had he not broken his arm. Sad.

I think the guy who would be after JLB would probably be Crocop, if you look at it, he has a VERY impressive career in K-1, beating almost every name.

Oh, and I'm gonna give a shoutout to Mike Bernardo. The guy has literally fought everyone that has stepped foot in Japan (albiet he has lost to everyone of them) The guy is a trooper and supplied many fighters with great performances.

JLB has been close before, but yeah he'd be my pick right now.

I always thought he would make a great mma fighter. Rogan talked about Mirko's style being athletic and explosive for example, JLB is built in a similar fashion. Big power and very calculating.

JLB has actually had some MMA fights, 5 to be exact, his record is 3-1-1. The draw came in a modified rules K-1/MMA fight with Bob Sapp though so its not really a true MMA fight. They alternated rounds between K-1 rules and MMA rules.

JLB will be fighting CroCop in Dream in an MMA fight soon.

Jerome Le Banner is without a doubt the best fighter to never win the K-1 World GP in my mind. He's been a lot more consistant than other fighters and he's capable of going toe to toe with anybody. Underrated and under appreciated.

Le Banner no question, however all that muscle does not do his cardio much good. For instance in his Finale fight with Ernesto Hoost, JLB was doing fantastic in the first round, in the 2nd he was torn apart. The same happened in his fight against Ray Sefo and 2nd fight with Mark Hunt.

LeBanner is really the obvious and only choice here. He hold victory΄s over the biggest names but somehow never won the big one.
