Hug/Other Athlete Question

Andy Hug as we all know if the definition of a warrior. We know his story and what happened to him and we all know his attitude for fights. The question that I have been thinking about lately is there another athlete that you would say has showed us the same heart, determination, and just pure ******* guts ike Andy did?

The only guy that could think of is Nogueira with all the beatings he has taken and overcome and the beatings that he took from Fedor and never quit. But then I still don't even know how close he comes when you compare him to Andy.

So I ask my fellow K-1 junkies, is there anyone you can think of that comes close to Andy?

I would not put Nogueira on a pedestal with Andy. Couture for me comes closer than Nogueira. I would look at guys like Rob Kaman and Ernesto Hoost.

Andy was just pretty much out there on his own level. There's really no one I would compare him with. He will always be remembered.

Hug is on a level by himself. He's one of those once in a lifetime people that you have the pleasure of seeing compete but once you have you won't see it again.

I think you know very well no one has come close to the amount of heart, skill and dedication to this sport than Hug. But yeah, Nog would be closest for me as well.

Are you serious? Couture's never been in the same kind of fights as Nog. He's never had to rely on heart and overcome disadvantages. Plus, with the way he's been acting lately, I really question his dedication to the sport.

I've been watching most of his fights (again) lately and damn I love that guy. There will most likely never be another fighter like him. Nog was the only one that I could think of that I was considering but I still counldn't put him on Andy's level.

Same here man, I was watching several of his fights as well.

Kinda reminds me of the Ryan Giggs of K-1.
