Genki Sudo's K-1 Fights.

Okay, so I've been watching a ton of Genki lately, and his K-1 fights are filled with Sudo-y weirdness. His fight with the great Masato was hilarious, because Masato just didn't know what to think of Genki Sudo. Sudo did pretty okay in his K-1 fights, and I sort of wish he would've stayed a little longer. He did pretty good against Krauss. Then again, my K-1 knowledge is n00b level.

What are your thoughts on Genki's K-1 fights?

Discuss.

When I first watched the Masato and Genki fight I was surprised with how much Masato let him get away with. I'm not sure if it's because he maybe wanted to let Sudo do his thing or was afraid he would try something ridiculous and actually K.O. him.

It's really hard to find a guys groove when the other guy is prancing around, and doing the robot and such. Not to mention it's hard to make it look like you mean business when you get punched in the face with a wind-up punch like from a cartoon.

I think he could have "maybe" won the fight if he didn't do stuff like the take downs, rolling kicks, and the all the stuff with the ropes. That's considering that I personally thought he pulled off more clean shots than Masato.

Genki as always is incredibly entertaining to watch. I've always wondered how the guy would fight in a street fight.

I could imagine him doing some strange stance then kicking the guy's face in.

His fights were something new for the MAX fighters. They really didn't know what to do with him, especially Kraus. And they sure as hell didn't have an answer for his spinning back fists.

I think Masato and Kraus did well not to flip out and just go nuts, I think Kraus was pissed though. Kraus didn't let Genki do his "Sudo-y weirdness" as much as Masato did. Still plenty of it though.

Genki Sudo had to be the most frustrating fight for those guys. He's just bizarre. He did pretty well but I don't think that his weirdness would continue to stump people, more of a one time thing and then they have a plan for it.
