Brock Lesnar what an ANIMAL, great wrestling back ground if he can produce a good stand up and has a good chin, I can see big fights with this guy. Lets hope he makes a better impact in MMA compared to his NFL career.

well his motorcycle accident did not help in his NFL go around.. but I do not think the NFL was the place for him... more then Likely it is MMA..
He was working more then likely on the gound and pound stuff at the MMAA and is working with gracie now to add submission to his skill set... Now from what I have read on Brock he is a quick study when it comes to things physical and with his NCAA background adding ground and pound was probably faily easy for him to pick up, mind not become an expert but become proficent and now working with Gracie adding submissions which would take more time to learn, given Brocks previous expereince size and strength what he loses iin experience to some fighters will be made up with overwhelming strength. REally as stated by almost everyone is that he will have the skills to do well.. if not dominate.. the big question which was also brought up is can he take a real punch or kick.
Goldberg a man known for power said Brock was one of the strongest he ever stepped into the ring with. ANd I have read his training routine... (this was Prior to MMA training) I do not know a single person at any gym I worked out at who could do his workout program and some of the guys I knew at the gym were competitive body builders and strong men and they said his program was just crazy. SO aside from the taking a punch issue which if he shows he can do.. I think He will be a force. and yea If he prooves he's got the stuff I think Fedor would be the ultimate test...It would be like It would be like Zues vs Cronos... battle of God vs a Titan.

I think it is a good choice for him to train for BJJ, the point being that even if he only does GNP he will be on the ground a LOT, and will have to avoid the submissions of others while he is there. As for striking, he should really try to improve there and should mostly focus on defence, not offence, and should be shown how to tell when it is a good oppertunity for a takedown. I have seen so many wrestlers go for takedown after takedown when the other fighter is just waiting for him to come in for it. With there being no real record of his chin, it makes me wonder quite a bit. Simply put, his training should be VERY well rounded, and shouldnt focus too much on ground game.

It will definately be exciting and interesting to see Brock's first fight. It's a shame he isn't starting out in UFC or PRIDE FC, I guess UFC is just watching to see if Brock is any good as a fighter first before fully committing to him as they would pay him a HEAP to fight for them.

no doubt that these guys have globs and globs of brute strength...but i also heard that goldberg got his arse handed to him in a bar fight...granted, the details are very fuzzy...

lesnar defintely has/will have the attributes of a dominant MMA fighter, but we'll have to see what his chin is made of...iron or tin? i.e. james thopmson in pride being a big strong individual with not the hardest chin...no doubt he'll do well though...great foundation to train for MMA off of...cant wait to see his debut...

He also got kicked out of foot ball for hospitalizeing two guys in a bar fight.. An all out bar fight which I have been in twice now is not just about skill it is more like 80% luck.. my last time I was working as a bouncer in a country bar.. huge fight broke out went on for a solid 10 minutes.. 2 people went to the hospital, and there was almost no skill involved.. it was just pure chaos.. so yea it is possible even Goldberg or heck even Fedor could get his ass handed to him in a bar fight just all depends on what is going on and how many people.

^^ Dude, Goldberg has no fighting experience whatsoever, he was a pro-wrestler haha I doubt any drunk would have trouble beating a pro wrestler up.

Goldberg also used to be a football player. ANd yea while Wrestling has predetermined outcomes, they are highly skilled athletes and some of them are exceptionaly strongand one on one I do not think to many drunks could take out Goldberg unless he too was drunk as well. and as for bar fights, depending on how many people are involvedSKill can mean very little while yes it will help as more people enter a bar fight skill being a factor goes down. I used to work as a bouncer in a bar and when it was just one on one or I'd say less then 5 people toltal involved the fight could be handled by us bouncers.. once it got beyond that point which can happen very fast in a bar fight. You can have chairs being thrown Bottles being thrown, glasses and such. so yea even Fedor, (who I am a huge fan of) can get taken down in a bar fight, not one on one mind you.. even if he was really drunk, but if it turned into a general melee yea ANYONE can go down.
