One Standard For Weigh ins

wondering what the standards are around the globe for times of weigh ins...I would like to see fighters make weight closer in time to the event...like the morning of the fight....

i like to see them about how they are so they dont have to concentrate on weight right before the fights. If they know they make weight they can start preparing with no worry in there mind

I Agree with Fighter J, also i think the skill of dropping weight and still fighting effectively is part of the sport

Skill of dropping weight....some guys take diaretics to lose water....then get an iv to replace it after weigh in....how healthy is this....

the state of new jersey is changing its weigh in rules on jan 1 2007..

I also think pro boxing should change its weight classes,,,,is 201lbs really a heavyweight now and the under 126 lbs should been eliminated...how many people are under 126 lbs..

The dropping weight but staying strong is a facet of the game, besides fighters are always going to concern themselves with making weight, even if you have it the day of, they'll still do things like take laxitives, or try to drop water weight. Rather than them doing that the day of the fight, I'd rather have them be as close to 100% as possible for the action.
I can't comment on the boxing thing, but 126 does seem a bit unreasonable...

The point is they should fight at thier natural weight.

getting fighters to fight close to their natural weight is exactly the point...it is unsafe what fighters do to get under the weight limits
