It's Showtime: Eindhoven, thoughts?

I thought that Buakaw was robbed, the judges seemed to love the punching way more. Buakaw was throwing some real nice kicks throughout the fight, and he was just taking the piss with those trip techniques. Was gutted with the decision.

Drago vs. Chaid was probably FOTN, great action here.

Giorgio Petrosyan was real impressive, he looks great. Hopefully we see him in K-1. I'm really looking forward to his fight with Kyshenko now, I might actually pick him to win.

Kudos to MLS for saying he was for real.

Spong dominated...

EDIT: I'm not sure who got to watch this, I was lucky as they showed it here in the UK, which I couldn't believe! But if you did, let me know what you thought.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

I didn't get to watch, was watching a football game but it's good to hear Spong won. Samedov is a big step up for him in preparing for next years GP, now on to Benazzouz and Saki.

Ahhh, this makes me even more excited about the Kyshenko/Petrosyan fight. Stevelmans is a good win for Petrosyan and with a good showing against Artur we should see Petrosyan in the Max mix. He's fought here and there for K-1 but I'd like to see him in the Max tourny.

Buakaw has had some bad luck lately and is only 1-2 in his last 3 fights. I read the Chahbari/Orono fight went the same way you described this one as going in Orono winning with his kicks but Chahbari getting the win.

Definitely will have to download these fights.

Edit: Spong's thoughts

Quote:
“You know it’s been a while since I have fought five rounds and I am very happy at how it went. It was a good result and I trained very hard for this. After my accident I only had one fight and one round with Gary Turner, so getting five good rounds is excellent. I am happy with the result.”

When questioned on the pre-fight stare down and how that affected his game he had this to say, “That’s all fine with me if people want to stare me down but I fought using my head and won well. That’s the result I was after and happy to get it…”

As far as future plans go he was confident, saying “See how it goes and wait for what comes next. Already K-1 has spoken to my management and it’s looking good. Thanks for supporting me and I appreciate it, let’s see how it goes and who knows what’s next. Right now I want to enjoy this and get back to training as soon as I can” further added the Dutch star.

Please please please let him in next years GP.

Yeah and also in the Chahbari/Orono fight, they wouldn't stop going on about Chahbari losing a family relative, and they even said that the judges might of given him the win because they felt sorry for him. Weird stuff.

Here is a link to the whole event.

Spong just straight dominated Zabit. His left hook was just murdering Samedov and Spong was just to fast for Zabit. If Floyd Mayweather Sr. is impressed with your hands that is saying a lot and he was with Tyrone.

Petrosyan was just to much for Warren and this fight with Artur is going to be fun.
