I wonder who they are going to get to replace Dida because from what I understood he was actually going to be in the tournament and not in a superfight.

Yea I'm pretty bummed that Dida had to pull out over some bullshit too. Visa issues or something along those lines such crap because Dida's style really fits tournaments well.

Now that I think about it, Dida would have had a decent chance at the tournament because Sato, Kido, and Buakaw wouldn't be in it since they have already qualified for the GP this year.

If you make the final 8 the previous year you get an automatic spot in the Final 16 the next year.

Yeah, it's how they guarantee all the big names make it. Because I think (and shit may have changed) that it's those 8, plus the 4 tournament winners, plus 2 guys K-1 picks or 1 guy they pick and a fan vote for the other.
