I was just researching it MLS and found this:
Quote:

The new tournament qualification system will be: the 8 finalists of last year, 4 new Grand Prix winners and two new single title champions - if some of the fighters holds more than one title, then the extra ones will be chosen by K-1. Finally the last two spots will be selected by the K-1 team and the votes of the fans from around the world..".

Yeah that's for the GP but I'm still not 100% sure on the last 4 guys that get picked for the MAX tourny because they don't have the two champions like the GP does to draw 2 guys from.

Most likely going to see HIROYA fight Saiga but now I have to see Garyu's ugly face.

He's facing Saiga again? Ah well, more Hiroya.
I swear, I used to think Saiga was a girl.

Japan-MMA is reporting that these are the tournament participants...

This should be a good tournament again. Hinata is a very talented fighter making his K-1 debut. The 22 year old went 4-0 in RISE last year, beating HAYATO in the process.
For me, the favorite would be Yasuhiro Kido or Andy Ologun, but it will be a close tournament and anything can happen.
Announced as fighting outside the tournament is Andre Dida. It will be interesting to see how he does. MMA fighters have done very well against K-1 fighters lately, and though Dida might be considered more an K-1 fighter than Kawajiri, it will be interesting to see here. Kozo Takeda will of course be looking to redeem himself, regardless of opponent.

Well I'm not sure about the Dida part because he is having Visa issues and said he couldn't fight on this card.

I never thought I'd hear Ologun as being an odds on favourite

Man I feel stupid, I just blew right over Hinata and Nagajima being in this, two pretty interesting prospects.
