Well said, my thoughts exactly. How do you train for a guy like Aoki?

It's very difficult to find a training partner who is that flexible and that good of a grappler. Aoki's the best grappler in MMA, so yeah, finding someone who does the things he does is going to be impossible. He's so odd, he'll pull guard and attach himself to you. He doesn't stop going for subs and just overwhelms his opponents.

It's like fighting Imanari and Kitaoka. You can train leg-lock defense all you want, but that won't help much. Dudes just know how to leg-lock a fool, not to mention that they don't mind taking punishment to grab a leg.

What the hell was Alverez thinking trying to go to mount, just get out of that shit man. Aoki was like a fish out of water on the feet with him

I loved the butt scoot to flying head kick maneuver... that was awesome.

Also, that was really dumb of Alvarez to try and go for mount. In fact, it's pretty dumb to go for anything against Aoki on the ground. Just let him lay there and make the ref stand him up.

Bad strategy for Eddie, just stand and bang and win the fight. But Ill give Aoki props, he beat a dude that was a bad matchup for him.

What exactly do you guys think Alvarez should have done? Aoki had his back, so he threw him to get him off. It was his best option.

Aoki is like a goddam octopus or some shit.

He threw him to the ground and then hopped on top of him.

He could have gotten away at that point.
