Aaronyman's K-1 Dynamite 2008 Lockdown!

Ok, I'll make this fast. I'm using Partybets odds, cuz that's all I can use ATM...so here we go!

JZ Cavalcante -139 - horrible odds if you look at other betting websites, but nonetheless, it's still a very good bet given their styles....standing I'd give the advantage to JZ, albeit not by big margin...Hansen has also proven himself to be dangerous on the feet....However, I don't see this fight taking place there. Hansen's tdd isn't good and JZ has got some good td's....he's younger, faster, stronger and his top game is outstanding..some of the most aggressive GnP I've seen from any LW..i can't say enough about this guy...he's just awesome...Hansen is aggressive off his back, but JZ's bjj base is too good to get caught by Hansen....I think Hansen's odds are a little bloated after his win over Aoki, but his skillset just doesn't matchup well with JZ. Forget the first match, JZ is a new animal.

Badr Hari -250 ... a very good bet IMO. Hari is one of the best strikers in the world, unquestionably...seems like Overeem is getting more credit than he deserves given his recent mma success, but his striking isn't that good in mma, and it certainly won't be that good against Badr....this is not Overeem's game...and anyone betting on him at +170 is a damn fool.

He's not he is the favorite.

The only reason I can see the odds being what they are is because Hari can be tagged and his chin is good but not great so they may see him getting knocked down and think Overeem can put him down. But Hari has some crazy recovering ability, I mean most people would have been out cold with the punch that Errol landed on Hari but Hari got right back up.

Hari's recovery ability is amazing. When he KO'd Karaev after being dropped! Holy shit.

Hari is going to kill Overeem unfortantly so that's a good pick and JZ will murder Hansen.

Honestly JZ is the better grappler, the better striker IMO he did stand with Masato for 3 rounds and take some heavy shots from Dida, and he's way stronger.

JZ is crazy strong besides Sherk he is probably the strongest guy at 155 and he might be stronger then Sherk I mean he treated Shaolin like a rag doll.

i hope joe silva will watch this event, cuz i see JZ running over Hansen....this guy needs to be in the ufc....otherwise, we're going to see the same 5 or 6 other top LW's fighting each other in Japan over and over again...

Why I mean JZ vs Eddie is a fantastic match up. I mean I would like him in the UFC because the UFC could use another top guy besides BJ and Sherk but Japan is loaded at LW as well. He has plenty of match ups in Japan.

Agreed, I need to see this fight before either of them go anywhere.

I think JZ would win, but I think it would just be ridiculously exciting.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

oh i'd love to see that fight too....but list of fighters is getting thin...i just think, as you said, the UFC is ripe for a new dominant force at LW...Diego will be good for the division, especially after he destroys Joe Daddy, but the time for JZ's arrival is now...he's approaching his prime and he's already a top 5 LW, but no one knows about him over here....

That's what this is for

However I do think he will need to either go to the UFC or start fighting WVR and Strikeforce LW's by 2010
