How impressive were some of these fighters?

1. Alistair Overeem - Beating arguably the greatest fighter in K-1 today? That's UNREAL and has to be one of the upsets of the year.

2. Melvin Manhoef - Stopping Mark Hunt, you kidding me?

3. Shinya Aoki - Made a win against Eddie Alvarez look easy.

4. Gegard Mousasi - Awesome performance against a good K-1 vet.

5. Tatsuya Kawajiri - Dominant victory over one of Japan's greatest kickboxers in history. Age is an issue for Takeda, but very impressive nonetheless.

7. Daisuke Nakamura - Took the next step in beating a tough guy like Tokoro, and quickly aswell.

6. Ikuhisa Minowa - The guy made Zimmerman look silly.

Am I missing anyone? I haven't seen the Hiroya fights, Sakurai's or Ologun's yet.

What are next for some of these guys?

I'd like to see Mousasi fight Akiyama and then possibly go to the UFC, but I think Akiyama and FEG are hating atm, so that fight probably won't happen.

There is nothing as far as Heavyweight competition goes in DREAM for Overeem, but maybe the guy will feel confident with K-1 now and decide to fight in the GP? I'd love to see it for sure. If not, he needs to get over to Affliction or the UFC, because that's where the best MMA Heavies are at atm. Not DREAM. Cro Cop rematch is pointless, especially after Overeem's latest performance.

Aoki just continues to WOW me. He's fought what DREAM have to offer, think of the wins he has got now... JZ, Hansen (though may need a rubber match), Alvarez, Uno. That's awesome. A JZ rematch might be needed, as JZ was in some bother injury wise in his fight with Aoki. I'd love to see Aoki in the UFC someday. I'd love him to fight guys like Florian and BJ.

Daisuke has plenty of fights if he wants to fight at Lightweight in DREAM, otherwise.. I'd love to see him in the WEC 145lb division, there are some great match-ups for him there. Also Shooto's 145lb division would have some nice bouts for him.

Any thoughts on the future of some of these guys?

Minowa will obviously just keep being Minowaman.

Minowa submitting zimmerman is funny. I think k1 fighters are dumb. They should know that mma fighters are better on the ground but they dont care. They are just begging for a submission.

This event proves our predictions are useless. Anything can happen in the ring.

The whole event just wow'd me for sure. Hunt getting KO'd blew me away, as did Aoki finishing Alvarez so quickly. Mousasi and Kawajiri winning K-1 fights was awesome to watch!

But most of all I am becoming a big Overeem fan. The guy just continues to impress! He looks fantastic every time

Schilt triangling Mo was a real WTF moment. I didn't even know that was going to be a DREAM rules fight lol.

Kawajiri, Manhoef and Overeem impressed me the most.

He's done it before, and yes, it was just as slow.

You want to talk about odd? Watch McGee vs Schilt.

I wasn't shocked to see Aoki tap Alvarez. I knew he was going to sub him. Now, watching Hunt get brutally KO'ed by a MW was something else.

Overeem's has been awesome ever since becoming a full time HW. He doesn't have to worry about making weight anymore.

Tokoro vs Nakamura was about as fun a 2 minute match can get. Someone mentioned Aoki vs Nakamura on this board, and yeah, I'd be so down for that, though Shinya would most likely sub him with ease.

Minowa actually doesn't die, color me shocked. Anyone else down for Hong Man Choi vs Minowaman?

You forgot Mirko! I guess I'm not that suprised considering this fight was easily forgettable. Despite winning, this fight pretty much convinced me Mirko will never be on top again.
