Tiny country but great fighters
Not to many people have probably heard of it but Suriname has produced some great fighters. Remy Bonjasky, Lloyd van Dams, Ernesto Hoost, Melvin Manhoef, Marco Piqué, Tyrone Spong, Ginty Vrede, and Errol Zimmerman.
7 K-1 GP Championships and all these fighters were/are champions in some sort.
Side note on Ginty Vrede, he was very promising HW had a record of 21-1, was a WBC Heavyweight Muay Thai World champion and had only trained for 3 years. But unfortunately he died at the age of 22. Vrede was being compared to Remy and was thought to have the same type of career as him as well.

Basically, alot of black Dutch people are from Suriname, and alot of them are great athletes.

Yup, just did some spying and pretty much--every famous black Dutch athlete is basically from Paramaribo, Suriname. Like literally ALL of them.

This is true... Probably the most athletic country in the world. However, most of these athletes are raised in Holland.
Exept Johan Cryuff, all the Dutch players are from Suriname:
Davids, Kluivert, Gullit, Rijkard, Seedorf, Babel....
Fighters:
Remy Bonjasky, Ernesto Hoost, Melvin Manhoef, Valentijn and Alistair Overeem...
Population: under 500 000...

Fun trivia: In danish "kamp" means "match" or "fight". So Martin Kampmann really lives up to his name.

Yeah, Holland's soccer team has always been PACKED with Surinamese players. Sort of like France and Senegal. |
