'08 Grand Prix
 

So I got to see a portion of the HDNet HL show for the '08 Grand Prix and DAMN! Why didnt someone like MLS tell us MMA fans how freakin cool K-1 is?

Unfortunately my stupid dish cut off most of the program but I did get to see the Aerts/Hari and LeBanner/Bonjasky fights and they were fantastic!! I am REALLY hoping they replay the show so I can see the whole thing but I think just with what I saw they have gained a new fan.

Will HDNet be carrying the 2009 events? I would really love to see the tournaments this year

Sucks that your shit cut out because you would have seen Zimmerman fight Badr which was just ******* ridiculous.

On the flip side you also dont have to watch Badr melt down and completely blow his shot and piss away his title by stomping Remy in the face when he was down.

As far as I know HDnet has a deal with K1 that goes through all of 2009.

My god, we've been saying it for the past year that K-1 = The shit, but you folks never listen.

Haha, I know you have and I was giving you guys a hard time. It just took me longer than most to realize just how badass K1 is!

K1 is cool but I am looking forward to the MAX finals more than I was the WGP. Guess I like my fighters smaller.

Max has a ridiculous amount of talent now though. If they can get everyone in there, that should be in there... :)

Do you think that k1 would be even more fun with light gloves like mma ones?

I believe that the HDNet deal will show 6 events for the GP and 6 events from MAX.

MAX fighters just go hard for the whole fight and I love that. But when a guy, like what Hari did, goes on a tear in the GP it's great.

Nah, because part of the greatness imo is seeing a guy like Remy be so good defensively and you just can't do that with the smaller gloves.

That GP was very fun that and the reason that I'm getting into K-1 was that GP and the fact Dida is planning on splitting his time between MMA and K-1 while he improves his BJJ.
