View Poll Results: Who will be the K-1 Max Final Champion of 2009
With an unreal amount of talent in K-1 Max right now, who is your pick to win, should all these names manage to make it into the GP.
I think these are the names that most people will go for, if there are any others, the poll can be edited. I don't think anybody will be picking guys like Kraus and Sato to win the whole thing though? Even though they're very tough guys and great fighters.
My favourite Max fighters are Buakaw and Zambidis, but I don't think either will win, Buakaw has been unlucky lately, hopefully he can have a good year in 2009.
I think Giorgio will win should he be in the running.
Here is the order for me, in terms of how likely I think people are of winning.
Giorgio Petrosyan
Andy Souwer
Artur Kyshenko
Masato
Buakaw Por Pramuk
Those first 3 are really equal for me. Heck they're all really even, such a talented talented division.

Petrosyan - Highly doubtful he is in the mix especially if Masato comes back but if he manages to get in he has a very good shot at winning. His next couple fight against Souwer and Chahbari will tell alot about how well he could do.
Souwer - He is my favorite to win it. He can beat anybody in MAX and if he gets through Petrosyan then I really have him as the favorite. The guy is just really good.
Kyshenko - Artur needs to work on his conditioning. He looked great in his win over Souwer but he was tired going into that extra round, lucky enough for him so was Andy. He has a bright future and so far has kept improving his placing in the tournament each year.
Masato - Still no idea if he is going to be in it but if he gets matched up with Souwer at any point, I think he loses.
Buakaw - Tough call here, didn't look to hot against Sato, killed Black Mamba, and got robbed against Kraus. If he can get his shit together he will be a tough fight for anybody.
Some dark horses.
Kraus - Looked extremely good against Stevelmans, kind of like the old Kraus. He is still young being only 28 so if he gets back to his old ways he could spoil someones fun.
Sato - Good skill set, crazy good chin, and will not quit. Can give anyone a fight and make things very hard on fighters.
Holzken - Had a great 08, went 6-1 with 4 KO's. If he can keep that up and continue to get better he could surprise some people and make a run. Fought Souwer and gave a very good performance.
Lima - Just won the Beast of the East Tournament against some solid competition. Solid skills, trains with Kraus, could do decent. Which I really recommend checking out his fight with Holzken, fun fight.
Yod - The likelihood of him getting in is about the same as Semmy making the Max limit but if he somehow did, he would probably be my favorite and hopefully we could see him against Buakaw and in a rematch with Souwer.
Not being able to vote Remy so from the list I'll have to say Souwer. This dude is freaking SOLID. From the fights I've seen, this guy has to be the favorite. Awesome skills in this guy.
