R1: 10 - 9 Overeem
R2: 10 - 9 Overeem
R3: 10-8 Bonjasky

Thought it could have gone into an extra round, but there was no chance for R1 or R2 to be an 10-8 round for Overeem.
Which means it would at least be a draw, or a win for Bonjasky, depending if you thought R1 or R2 was a 10-10 draw.

Ten point must system really messes up sometimes. Getting bullied the whole round and to win with 10-8 just because of a knockdown. Remy didn't deserve to win.

Ten point system aside, do you think he deserved to win?

The little knees he threw to the legs don't score that many point. First two rounds were even and even if you gave him one round he still loses the fight 29-28. At BEST he could have hoped for an extra round and that's being generous and giving him rounds 1&2, which he didn't win both.

It's like people don't watch Remy's fights, he always lets people come to him so he can counter.

Remy also tore his meniscus two days before the fight and still fought.
You didn't read my question carefully. Ten point system ASIDE do you think he deserved to win?
The only way you could give Bonjasky the win is if you follow ten point must system and give him 10-8 for the last round because of the knockdown. That knockdown shouldn't give him 10-8 round, IMO. Don't get me wrong I wanted Bonjasky to win, but his injury took his toll, it seems.
So once again, do you think he deserved to win?

Same thing that I already said, I guess people here need it directly spelled out.
OK, thanks. I disagree.

i think alistair won, i don't know alot of how the point system works, but what about all the takedowns overeem landed? i mean remy did knock overeem down but compared to all those takedowns i think the takedowns would be worth more all together

Takedowns count for exactly nothing! This is K-1 not MMA. If they were knockdowns due to damage inflicted of some sort and not trips or throws then he wouldve won but they werent. Remy's one knockdown was the defining moment of that fight because it was the only significant exchange in what otherwise was a very uncharacteristic bout for both fighters.

Did anyone see at the end of round 2 when they make that clap for the last 10 secs.I swear when remy throws a right kick to Alistairs left leg,Alistair counters with a right punch and remy falls and when remy gets up you can clearly see he got hit in the face as his nose is bleeding and 10 secs before that there was no blood..Why didnt the ref do a standing count. It looked to me as that was a legit knockdown to Alistair. Also it shit me that they favour remy just because he was the K1 champ thats bullshit.

Actually, the reffing made it very favored for Overeem.

I am pretty sure you cant take your opponent down, and Overeem did it at least 3-4 times during the fight, with some trips and once where he blatantly just threw Remy down.

No warning, no penalty, Overeem was getting away with it.

I gotta say i dont a crap about the result, because the fight sucked.

I dont watch a lot of K-1, but i am pretty damn sure K-1 fighters should be in better shape than what Remy was showing.. Remy was either gassed or stunned at how big Overeem was, because that was ridiculous...

Overeem was coming forward, just going into that dirty boxing mode, and Remy, who basically made his career on kicking the crap out of people, lets Overeem, who is so much more bigger and stronger than him, get in close to throw punches?

As for Overeem, putting on some massive weight(steroids?) certainly did not help his already problematic cardio. After 2 minutes, he was breathing hard..

At least, he was dominating, until he got caught with that one punch.. he still has a glass chin..

Overeem really needs to work on his cardio or learn to pace himself, because if he wants to keep his career in MMA, he has no choice to join top promotions for HWs like Affliction or UFC, and they wont hire him if he cant fight more than 5 minutes..

This is exactly why i hate/love Overeem : He is so good, but yet he cant finish a winning fight.. on almost all his losses(MMA), he was winning the fight until he either gassed(Shogun 1, Rogerio, Werdum, sergei) or got caught with 1 punch(Liddell,Shogun, Arona)
