Ive watched Buakaw vs Andy Souwer from this years K-1 Max GP and I feel like Buakaw got screwed in this fight. I thought he won all three rounds and the extra round. I think he would have made a much better match up against Petrosyan and would have had a very good chance of beating him in the final. Thoughts?

He definitely got robbed in the first two rounds, but the extension round he held back too much and let Souwer push the pace which was a mistake. He should have come out much more aggressive in that final round imo. I wanted to see him vs Giorgio too. O well maybe next time.

I disagree. Buakaw pushed the pace far more than Souwer in the decider and landed a lot more IMO. Souwer was trying to bring it but Buakaw had an answer to pretty much everything.

Souwer showed clean crisp boxing throughout but that was about it. Buakaw IMO was busier and displayed a more diverse and effective striking game as well as tossing Andy all over the place.

Was a close fight but Buakaw defiantely done enough to take home a win.

Buakow Pramuk should have been given the victory but its K1, the judges are very random at times. I am happy with it because now that Petrosyan is out, they can setup Souwer vs Masato which is very tantalizing. Yes!!

Souwer looked like crap in both fights to me and yes Buakow clearly won but those two judges were consistenly retarded all night long. I had the final round for Souwer though. It is too bad Buakow got robbed as a not prime beaten up Souwer had nothing to offer against Petrosyan and it is really hard to judge how good he actually is because of that. I think Buakow would have given Petrosyan a lot of trouble.

I agree pretty much, except I had Buakaw winning the last.

Souwer's hands were better throughout which I guess is what won him the fight, but Buakaw was just more busy and showed a more well rounded game the whole fight, He was just tossing Andy about a lot of the time.

Buakaw has a lot of experience competing in this sort of thing, I mean kids in thailand that compete in Muay have usually had hundreds of fights by the time they're 18 yrs old. He's just so naturally talented at what he does and has dedicated his entire life to it, anyone who steps in a ring with him has got their hands full.

I dunno if he could've beaten Petrosyan but I would've given him more of a chance than Souwer.
