Presenting the Final 8- Badr Hari vs Ruslan Karaev
The first bout to be presented in this year's FieLDS K-1 World GP Final is Badr Hari vs Ruslan Karaev.
Badr Hari
Badr Hari (72-9-1) is a Dutch-Moroccan Muay Thay fighter born on December 8th, 1984 in Amsterdam. He started his professional career in 2000 and had his first K-1 bout in 2005, against Stefan Leko. It was a rematch to avenge a past loss suffered in the same year. Hari succeeded KOing Leko by a spectacular spinning back left high kick in the 2nd round. Although there was bad blood between the two, Hari helped Leko up after the knockout. Other notable wins include a 1st round KO of Semmy Schilt, a TKO of Hong Man Choi and a 2nd round KO of Ruslan Karaev.
He was a K-1 World GP Finalist in 2008, where he was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct against Remy Bonjasky (head stomps) and therefore lost his title. He also lost to Alistair Overeem by 1st round KO.
Out of his 72 wins, 59 are KOs and out of his 9 losses, 6 are by KO. He is 6'5 1/2 and weighs 240lbs and trains at Mike's Gym alongside Melvin Manhoef.
Ruslan Karaev
Ruslan Karaev (13-8-0) was born May 19th 1983 in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia, Russia. He is a kickboxer and trains with Golden Glory, alongside Alistair Overeem, Semmy Schilt and Gokhan Saki, among others. He made his 1st K-1 appearance in 2005 in Las Vegas, where he won the tournament. In the same year, he made it to the World GP Finals, but lost to Musashi in an extended round UD. In 2006, he KO'd Badr Hari, but lost to Glaube Feitosa, who knocked him out. He then suffered 2 more losses to Badr Hari and Melvin Manhoef, both by KO. In 2007, he suffered a traffic accident a few days prior to his announced bout with Jerome LeBanner and had to pull out. He came back to K-1 in 2008, after caring for his sick mother, but was unable to obtain the championship title after losing a UD to Gokhan Saki.
Out of his 13 wins, 7 are by KO and out of his 8 losses, 5 are by KO. He also holds an impressive amateur record of 160-9-0.
Personally, I think Hari will finish this by KO in the 2nd round, unless Karaev comes hard at him, but I don't see that happening.
I have Badr Hari winning this fight as well by KO, only in the first. The only way I see Badr losing this fight is if he is looking past Karaev, because ahead of him is two possible rematches where he can avenge losses in Alistair Overeem and Remy Bonjasky.
Badr Hari is one of K-1's best though, and although Ruslan is good, he's not ready for him.
Badr by brutal KO in the second. A focused Badr Hari is one of the best in the world. The only person that I think can actually beat him in this years grand prix is Remy (Remy seems to have his number, the final last year was one sided even before Badr got himself DQ'ed) and I dont think Remy is gonna be able to get past Schilt. This is a stacked grand prix this year, anything can happen.

I dont think so, I think there first fight was a huge fluke. Badr hadnt been training properly and didnt take him seriously at all. Overeem comes straight forward when he fights, that will play right into Badrs hands if they fight again. Im sure Overeem could catch him, but its very unlikely.
