JLB was ridiculous last night. He has lost me as a long time fan with his immature gimmicks. He seemed to be in better shape than he has been in years and he blew it all with his male pms. Especially since he was competing in the tournament, such behaviour is unacceptable and he should be penalized for it. If a fighter, who is considered to be one of the legends in the sport, can't have enough self discipline to respect an official decision, then he has no place to compete. Huge disappointment.
My highlights in this event include my countryman, Ghita, whose performance and growth as a fighter impressed me greatly. Will he win this? I don't think so, but it would be nice. Kyotaro also came out as a more mature and technical fighter and it was good to see him confirm the fact that he has a great chin, which should help him get forward in the competition.

Aerts gets destroyed by anyone good and even the fringe guys like Texeira and Kyotaro who dance around against everyone else can be super aggressive with him now and just beat on him in the pocket. Mo is just awful he can't win a fight unless his opponent just hands it to him by fighting like a retard sitting in the pocket with his hands down.
Yeah **** JLB I was done with him after he immediately gave up against Semmy last year. He used to be my favorite fighter but he has no heart left for the sport he just shows up for a paycheck. Ghita is the only guy in the tournament I see giving Overeem any problems but he might not even have to face him. Hopefully even with the weak field we get some really good matchups like Overeem/Ghita and Saki/Kyotaro.

I am pissed Mo won. I wnated my romanian to go through to the final 8. Catinas gassed himself a bit, but i also thin he had massive breathing problems by the end of the 2nd round and in the 3rd. Bloodied nose (maybe even broken), he was breathing just thru his mouth like he was sufocating.
I think the Final 8 can be divided into 2 groups:
GROUP A: Schilt (although unimpressive against Gerges), Overeem, Saki and Ghita
GROUP B: Spong, Mo, Kyotaro and Aerts
GROUP A >>> GROUP B
It would be a shame if they would be matched against eachother. I would hate to see Overeem-Ghita, Saki-Ghita, Schilt-Overeem in the first round of The Final 8 Tournament. Or Kyotaro-Mo, with one of them going thru to the semis.
I think tomorrow it's the draw for the Final 8.
Fingers crossed for a good draw.

Overeem and Semmy are group A(the only people who can win) Saki and Ghita are group B(highly talented but can't win it all outside of something fluky happening like Semmy breaking his leg walking to the ring) Spong and Kyotaro are group C(typical quality fighters who are usually just there to put up a good fight in the final 8) and Mo and Aerts are group Don't belong in the tournament. Aerts and Mo aren't beating anyone in this field even with how weak it is.

You added more details than i did, but i believe we think is similar way about this subject.
Honestly i would love to have it something like this:
Schilt-Mo
Ghita-Spong
Saki-Aerts
and Overeem-Kyotaro - just for FUN

I agree with you about them not belonging in the competition, but I still like watching them fight, partially for old times' sake, which is why I said that they should stick to fighting in superfights, which are more for entertainment. I like watching Aerts, who has been fighting for decades and seeing that he can still hang in the ring with the younger fighters is inspiring. Him being in the competition now IMO lowers the credibility of the skill level of the fighters who are also in the Final 8 with him.

Lol, put Uber vs Kyotaro and you cut any chance he might have to win the tournament. I like Kyotaro and I wanna see him evolve and grow as a fighter, so I might be a bit biased when it comes to him.

This ^
If Ghita keeps improving his technique like he has lately, he certainly has a chance of beating Overeem and Semmy, Overeem more than Semmy. It's unlikely, but not impossible. Saki, although a talented fighter, has the size disadvantage, which can lead him to losing more easily than Ghita against Semmy.

Just watched the Overeem fight. Holy balls. That dude's got fantastic stand up, throwin counters left and right, blocking well, I was very very impressed.

Clearly it's a pick 'em between Sem Schilt and Overeem, the two Dutch guys...who'd thought it?! I for one am glad Schilt decided to stay away from MMA, why tarnish a great kickboxing reputation by being grounded and pounded by the likes of Kharitonov? Also, it's probably time Aerts called it a day, what else does he have to prove?

Yeah, Aerts is only going to take away from his legacy by keeping on fighting. He just can't hang with the young guns of K-1 anymore. Also, Schiltz is smart not going back to MMA, cause remember he did a few PRIDE matches!
