Buakaw would destroy mayweather or pacquiao in a no rules fight. Muay thai / kickboxing should be huge in the u.s. but it's not big at all. I know the reason, there isn't enough fight camps or gyms in the united states, the most gyms for stand up are probably in california but other than that there are very few camps/gyms.

Apples to oranges my friend. A few buddies that train Muay Thai sparred with Buakaw in the Toronto area a few years back... he's a beast for his size.

Of course he'd beat Mayweather or Pacquiao in a K1 or Muay Thai fight. But likewise, you put him in a strict boxing fight with these guys and he'd get walked on.

No denying talent buy you can't compare the sports just like that.

Buakaw is such a great fighter just imagine in the usa if they knew him just like people know kobe bryant. I do know exactly what your stating about boxing though. I love boxing and I think boxing works better than kickboxing in mma or the street but for people like buakaw or badr hari those guys are just savages man.

Ohh I agree with you, I wish more people knew of the K1/Muay Thai guys.

The hard truth is only most of us 'hardcore fans' do... but I'm fine with that as we can appreciate all the great fights they give us.

Now that MMA is exploding I'm going to honestly say that I think the smaller organizations and events will be less and less. We won't see too many televised unless it's in other countries.

Lots of guys from K1, Boxing and judo, muay thai, Olympic wrestling, etc are migrating to the big stages and trying their skill sets in MMA. Slowly, all of their respective organizations are weakening or folding.

MMA just keeps getting bigger and bigger its too popular right now. Even though this is the case for all the other combat sports declining, I think they will always be around. Boxing will never die , muay thai as well. K-1 is going down hill each second and it's def. on its way out for good but the dutch love kickboxing we still have its showtime. BTW Its Showtime next saturday it is going to be wild! Badr Hari is back! I highly suggest you all watch it.
