While Anderson Silva's style has been referred to as a 'ballet of violence' by Joe Rogan, perhaps Lyoto Machida's style is simply just a 'ballet', lol.

I do think Machida has a lot of potential, he does need to work on his aggressiveness. I see a lot of similarities between him and Silva, but he needs to work on his attacking. His avoidance of opponents' offense is crafty, but he needs to punish his foes on his own accord as well.

The Thiago Silva fight might answer some questions about Lyoto or maybe it will just be more ammunition for haters.

Did you see the size of Tito's head after that fight with Lyoto? In all seriousness, I really hope Dana starts treating Lyoto like he's the best p4p.

Not to ruin your day, but White said Machida 'could be' the best p4p 'if' he starts performing to the best of his ability. I'm a big Machida fan, as is, though.

Thanks for posting.

Tito was forced to chase Lyoto all over the Octagon for that fight. Tito was in a tough position with it being the last fight on his contract so probably felt obligated to try to be active.

Machida did have a really nice kick to Tito's midsection that was impressive but then again, Machida almost got submitted in two different ways by Ortiz.

I like Ortiz and I had a feeling Ortiz could have been dominated in that fight had Machida really been aggressive. If he has it in him, let's see Machida go on the offensive a lot more.

Today Dana will say Machida is the P4P best, however if Machida left the UFC tomorrow, Dana would say he's insignificant in the division.

Dana White's opinion = Nada

P.S. I've always respected Machida, I just wish he got more opportunities to fight. Too many people are afraid of him I suppose.

I dont think other fighters are really afraid of him...

I do think that he will start to be more active in the division in the future.....I see no reason why he would leave the UFC as he statedthat it was an Honor to fight in ther UFC.....

Really I believe Dana is working a plan that he has for Machida and will spin him(as long a s Lyoto dilivers) in the right direction to be his Anderson Silva at 205......p4p best.....

As far as being more aggressive....that shit makes me laugh.....you can put Machida in himself against a super aggressive guy and I believe he would prform better....but Machida doesnt need to be more aggressive he's a counter fighter.....and he doesnt run

He eludes.... BTW...Jasvil u could never ruin my day......
