If Wanderlei goes on to fight Mirco ,and wins .Ole 1 dimensional charlie does not stand a snowballs chance in hell.Cant always count on a miracle punch.and a half decent sprawl.Yes he beat RC ,but hes an old man .Youth will always prevail,sad but true.The pride fighting callibre is second to none.

....Gracie....nice thread. Were talking about a man that held the MW Championship in Pride for 5 years. Impressive enough. Wandy is one of the best fighters on the planet hands down. His 26 MMA KO's were all impressive. Rampage is one of my favorite fighters and Wandy took him apart twice. The 2nd time was absolutely brutal. Wandy's Clinch, throwing those knees sending Rampage THROUGH the ropes, with gobbs of blood falling out! Absolutely vicious. But totally cool too!...lol. Wandy & Chuck are brutal strikers, I can't wait till that day comes. Chuck's been ready...he called out Wanderlei back in 2003. I know it will happen soon...The MMA world is holding their breath for this one...I REALLY want to see Ice & Rampage 2. Chuck has that loss to Q to redeem. Anyways...Rednose Wandy is the shit.

Well Chuck vs Silva will happen right? I remember Dana bringing them out in the middle of the octogon right after the Tito vs Shamrock 2 match? They exchanged words but I was at a bar and couldn't hear much.

All the talk about Wanderlei beat Rampage ,Rampage beat Chuck and Chuck beat Tito and Tito beat Wanderlei stuff means very little. First off a lot of those fights happened a long time ago and the fighters have evolved since then. Second, styles make fights. Beating a common opponent means very little.

As for the fight itself, I think it could go either way. I think Wanderlei is overall the better fighter, however I think Chuck would win. Wanderlei is a devastating striker, but he tends to throw wide punches. Chuck could catch him with quicker straight punches much like CroCop did. A lot of the fight would depend on what would happen in the clinch. If Wanderlei could get a Thai clinch going, Chuck would be in for a world of pain. However Chuck is a much better wrestler than people give him credit for. He could hold his own in the clinch and if the fight goes to the ground.
