Joseph Kony - War Criminal

Hey guys I am probably one of the guys least affected by charity campaigns, but this got to me. Mainly because I consider myself quite bright and clued into what's going on in the world and had no idea he existed or this was going on. If anyone has seen it it's the bad guy from Machine Gun Preacher.

The video is horrific really, especially since it's the murder **** and torture of children on a large scale. It's a long video but worth watching. I hope you pass it on too.

(I'm not sure if stuff like this is cool to post or whatever, but surprisingly I feel quite strong about this.

Wow. All that support. All that time. All that money. All that awareness.

In 2003, if they had dedicated 30,000usd to mercenaries in Uganda, Kony would be dead. There is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things, and judging by their results during their 8+ years of effort they choose the latter. Don't get me wrong it sounds like a good cause and they sound like good people. But now he knows he's being hunted and his visibility is way down. When you want a stop light put in at a four-way stop you write a letter, when you want to stop a guy from raping and murdering thousands of children you should probably kill the mother****er.

Here is to hoping he's feeding worms in the immediate future

I had heard of Kony before the 2012 video, but only knew he was a violent guy from Africa. Having read more into it due to the viral video, I realize he is a pretty sadistic and ****ed up man.

Having said that, and knowing what I do about the Rwandan genocide, and the atrocities in Sierra Leone over the diamond mines, i'm not actually shocked at any of this. Although just as disgusted. The things that go on in Africa (and a LOT of it is completely unknown to the MSM, or they just don't bother reporting it) are beyond most peoples imaginations. In some instances, newborn girls are raped by men with AIDS, in the belief that doing this subhuman act will cure them of it.

Google Belgium’s King Leopold II, and read up on what when down under his authority in the Congo over rubber extraction in the late 1800's.

It is good that some of this is actually being brought to the attention of the masses, because it, and many other uncomprehendable things go on every day there. With no end in sight.

This kind of stuff is a lot more common then people know. Most folks dont like to hear or read about it, so it doesnt get covered by most of the media. Its sad and disturbing.

Agreed. there seems to be some controversy about the IC organisation but if it brings all these atrocities into the public eye I'm all for it.
