Obnoxious? Probably. Arrogant? Possibly. That's just how he rolls though. He is a good guy deep down, he just embodies the awkward, obnoxious humour he created with The Office. He is the master at that stuff. A friend of mine met him in London a couple of years ago and he was very forthcoming and friendly.

The Office UK is without a doubt one of the funniest comedy tv shows ever made, it's in my top three of all time, but Gervais as his own character doing stand up and talking on pod casts just isn't my thing, I find him quite irritating.

I'm sure he is a nice enough guy in person, but on camera, unless he is playing a fictional character (his writing is genius)then he's just not really my cup of tea.

I like Gervais. I think his reactions make the things Karl says more funny.

Ahhh that episode was everything I hoped for. Warrick is amazing at winding him up.

"At least I tried"

"...Yeah...did you though?"

P.s Love Gervais. His laugh is so infectious.

Karl is so great, he hasn't changed a thing since the first radio shows with Ricky and Steve, he's still got an answer for everything.

"Thats probably why they put those domes on the Taj Mahal to stop people from putting shit on the roof."

from 2:00 onwards.

Another favorite that i can't find is when he talks about breaking up with his first GF when he was like 7. another kid who liked her confronts him with "you're out of order"

As well as the chimpanzeethat news.

One of the funniest things they ever did was the poems. The animation is super good aswell.

Incognito: He's told that story a couple of times on the XFM shows aswell. It's a classic. "Cut it out! Show her a bit of bloody respect!"

Found another poem, they are not all out on YouTube which is a shame. Can't find my favourite one, but this is great aswell:

Next years Emmy and Golden Globe for best supporting actor are already locked up as far as I am concerned. Really though, he genuinly is a good actor. He sound just like when he gets pissed off in the podcasts/XFM shows.

Edit:

Jesus christ!
