That's ridiculous....lol why do they have to do this? It's sweet, sad, touching, all that good shit...But really what's the point of it? It's not helping anything lol...we're supposed to be supporting our troops and hoping they get the job done as fast as possible and get the **** outta there, not just skip the get the job done part and go straight to getting the **** outta there. I'd love for every little kid to see their dads like this. But the dad made the conscious (and very respectable, don't get me wrong) decision to join the war. What's the point of joining if you aren't going to finish? I hate to sound like a **** and it would be great if this war would just end, but it can't end without us finishing it. It sounds cliche but it's true, we either fight it over there on their shitty piece of land, or else they will come to our piece of land and fight us here. Get all the kids and women outta there and just nuke it already. Or just let the damn troops shoot the insurgents for once without having to worry about being court marshalled. Shouldn't even be there in the first place, I know, but now it's too late. We gotta finish. It's not like they are ALL completely innocent over there. Gotta set them straight and let the women and kids have better lives just like we would want our women and kids to have good lives not worrying about their husbands/dads going to war.

This was sad...you ruined my day...I hope this war doesn't last as long as the administration said it would. And the soldiers can't help it that the job isn't getting done fast enough. This video should be shown to the administration, not the general public. All it does is make us all depressed and still does nothing to change the fact.

This video is propoganda in its purest form. Not bad propoganda, but not really "good" propoganda either. I haven't even felt like crying in a good 8 years now, not trying to sound tough, there have been times where I wished I could cry, but I just can't. But this video only took like 5 seconds for me to start welling up. I never cried but I sure as hell felt like I could have. First time in 8 years. That's how I know this is propoganda. They learned some kind of trick to make this so sad you can't help but cry, then they get there message across better. Like I said, just cuz it's propoganda doesn't mean it's a totally bad thing. Just pointing it out. Could be the music, the slow motion, the emphasis on the kid's face, or a mix of it all along with some other subtle things. But it worked nonetheless.

it makes you sad cause of the music+a kid crying that his dads finally come home after 6 years...
This reminds me tho, we talked in class about this. And a kid asked"are they gonna leave all the oil there?" and another kid said "No, they need to take some souvenirs back home"..lol i found it funny in that particular time.

yea I know, but I've experienced much much sadder events over the last 8 years and never could cry or even got close. Like, one of my best friends and 2 other friends dying when I was in high school.

Let me guess, neither of you have a little one of your own? Maybe that's why it got to me more.
