i don't know about that. I have friends who were fireman that collect 5k-10k a month for life because they messed up thier lungs on 9/11
wink wink, and they never have to work again. Thats like hitting lotto, and I'm not talking about 1 guy either. All the FDNY's that I know love Rudy.
They are still sorting out all the 9/11 money and whatnot, it was not a closed issue when rudi left. they are still sorting everything out to this day.
he did more than take down the mob. NYC was in the midst of a crack epidemic in the 80's and early 90's, Mayor Dinkins was very soft on crime, he squandered away the budget and let the schools turn to crap. Rudy came in and the City did a 180* within 3 years. He did alot of questionable things taht did hurt some peoples liveliehoods(not fireman), but it was for the overall good.
he is one of the few politicians that actually made good on the majority of his promises while in office. i only know this becuase I witnessed it first hand, i remember hating him at first and then he started to grow on me. I am very sceptical twords politicians but am sold on Rudy(and I am a registered Democrat)
