Hearing Sought Over Linguists' Discharge | The Huffington Post
"Lawmakers who say the military has kicked out 58 Arabic language experts because they were gay want the Pentagon to explain how it can afford to let the valuable specialists go."
If this turns out to be legit, i don't even know what to say. It's not just the fact that it would mean, once again, personal--and obviously religious--views have gotten in the way of people's freedom in this "great" country of ours. The real travesty is that an administration, and by extension, the military which takes its orders from said amdinistration, would get rid of people with unique skills in--supposedly--such an important struggle against "Islamofasciasts". These people are invaluable to the cause at hand, no matter if you agree with Bush's bullshit war or just accept that there is terrorism in the world and people like those who were fired are integral in the fight against radical Muslims. I have to wonder what this government would have done to the windtalkers--native americans integral to the WWII effort--considering they are a heathen culture in the eyes of Bush and his cabal.
I guess morals, or at least what these cretins think they mean when they preach about morals from the White House, are more important than their very own war effort.
