WWE sub $10/mo w/ALL PPVS

Thought people would be interested in hearing. WWE is launching a digital network next month. You get all past PPVs (WWE/WCW/ECW) and all current PPVs including Wrestlemania. I know UFC and WWE arent the same thing but there is a shared portion of the audience. Two things come to mind:

1. Shows how big of a rip-off the UFC one is that you are getting mostly garbage cards and an incomplete library and still have to purchase PPVs on top of it.

2. This could help UFC PPVs a little bit because not too many people in the US now will be spending $55 a month on WWE PPV.

For a second I thought this was a thread by a spambot.

Nevermind, go on.

The UFC makes their money from PPVs and a bit from their FOX deal. The WWE is the other way around, they make most of their money from TV deals and endorsements and very little off their PPVs.

That has put them in a position to include all the PPVs in the WWE Network subscription.

For more in-depth info, here's an article for you guys - I recommend reading it

I'm telling you flat out the UFC is about to see a HUGE decline in PPV sales. Members on this board for years have been calling me crazy for buying every PPV. With no more GSP and Anderson to Headline cards and with the emergence of the women fighters being added to PPV cards I'm done for awhile.

I love MMA, but not when you can watch it for free the next day.

Once this launches in Canada I'll be getting it because I love wrestling still. Plus I get to relive the glory years and rewatch it all with ease.

If the UFC say averaged 400,000 PPV buys x $60 that's 24 million. I imagine half of that goes to the cable provider, so that's 12 million for the UFC. That means 100,000 people buying a UFC channel with all PPV's at $10/month would equal that amount. They could easily get more than that if all PPV's were included. Plus public places would still show UFC and that's where a lot of buys come from. (this is assuming all my math was correct)

It's the difference between Vince McMahon and Dana White. Dana White is threatening to throw everyone in jail and telling people to get more friends, whereas Vince McMahon is accepting that it's 2014, less people buy PPV's, but now people will be able to view them in an affordable way while the corporation still rakes in the money.

The difference between Vince McMahon and Dana White is that Vince will go for the XFL's and WBBF's, because he wants to be something he's not, but Dana tends to (most of the time) use common sense. Dana seems happy with being "just" the no 1 promoter in his sport, while it's a known fact that Vince will do anything to not be considered a wrestling promoter.

Why is this even posted in the UFC section? Its not about MMA or even MMA related and should be moved.

I could care less about the fake garbage meant for pre-adolescence.. I dont care what they offer, it's never going to compete with real sports combat or otherwise.
