The Olympics, beacon of injustice?

Group: China Olympics Evict 1.5 Million - The Huffington Post

so, whatever the official number is, thousands of people have been "resettled" in preparation for the 2008 olympics in China. in other words, in preparation for a worldwide event promoting unity, respectful competition, and peace, China forced thousands of people from their homes...

i can't quite articulate my feelings on this, but i'm sure you would feel the same about this. Hypocricy knows no bounds, i guess.

Best way to combat Chinas disgraceful record on humanity is to boycott the olympics completely... dont watch any events on tv, radio, dont download any footage... boycott it %100...

they treat their citizens disgustingly and they treat their animals even worse:

To mention a few examples: a live cow being dumped into a ring of tigers to be devoured (still bellowing in pain 10mins after being set upon), bears made juggle with fire, monkeys tied to cars and taunted with food, animals enclosed in tiny cages (suffering from what the vets described as "zoocosis"), for the sick enjoyment of what can only be described as perverted onlookers. Chinese visitors can buy live cows for £100 and chickens for £2 to feed to the tigers.
Chinese families view it as a fun day out.

Did i mention China has awful personal freedom laws when it comes to the internet, preferring to block many websites that speak against chinese regions, block many entertainment websites and so on for chinese people...
