Not too familar with the different English accents but whenever someone uses a typical English word (bloody, bollocks, that sort of thing) I automatically read the post in some kind of English accent.

Yeah cursing is a dead giveaway if someone is from the UK or not. That and those extra "u"s everywhere. ****(c-word) and twat are 2 dead giveaway words that someone isn't American.

It's also in sentence structure and word choice, I post on a football (soccer) forum that has a minority of American posters and you can see an American a mile off due to their specific writing habits, it's something that's hard to quantify other than it's just not how we're taught to write in school or "bad English".

Glad to see I didn't make this list haha. I'm also pretty sure there isn't a video out there for my accent.

From Canada, so that's my base, then I was taught French as a kid and there are remnants of that left then moved to the states where I got Detroit slang which apparently is somewhat unique though I didn't know that then lived in northern California for a little while. So I'm constantly asked where my accent is from. Some people catch the Canadian because of my "O's" and Canadians catch the french.

Oh and add that I use the word **** haha.

On topic, I never read posts in accents but I'm pretty sure I will now.

Oh you mean the proper English we are taught?

I mean I don't have a regional accent. I doubt you could tell what part of the US I was from just by my voice. I don't have a southern accent or any of the east coast or northern accents. I live in a military town and there are plenty of different accents just in this area. You could probably tell more by my word choice then the actual sound of my voice where I'm from.

Please help me out with this Americans...

"I could give a shit" - You CAN give a shit? So you DO care about the topic at hand? How have you somehow messed up this phrase so much, that you're saying literally the opposite of what you are trying to say?

Where is the O in Twat?

Mavis Beacon screwed me out of 90 WPM because you guys can't spell colour. Compensate me!

Aye more of this, plus how do you get "Creg" (rhymes with Greg) out of the name Craig?
