If you get the dog fixed when they're young, they won't get fat and lazy. They'll grow up like any other dog, and they'll still go out and get their game, they just won't get the other dog pregnant. Most dogs reach full size by the time they hit around 3 years old, so if the puppy's younger than that it will be less of a hassle for you if you decide to. If you get the puppy fixed while it's real young, it won't know the difference.

talk to your vet. they'll tell ya whats best. it depends on how you want to roll. if he knocks your neighbors dog up you may have an angry neighbor on your hands.
