It's an entertaining read. Slightly hilarious and shocking in parts. This baby stays open.

Oldfan, I'm wondering, do you eat bones/eyes/organs, stuff like that from your rabbits/other animals? I've heard that people really enjoy that stuff (even the bones), and I'm wondering if you had tried it?

Squirrel brains are supposedly good eating. One of the weirdo's here in town just eats the head, skull and all. That's all he wants.

I had to settle for pork chops tonight

Fantastic points.

Your stance on animal rights today is a reflection of your stance regarding slavery in the past.

I watched until around the 15 minute mark, gave it a solid listen up until that point (a solid listen for someone who really doesn't care about the subject that much).

By the end of the video, I wasn't swayed even a little bit into the "don't eat meat" group. He basically stated what many of us already know - many animals die each year for our food, he and some others feel animals shouldn't be killed for food, etc etc. There was really nothing said in that video that hasn't already been discussed in this thread.

I like how he keeps saying "dead animal flesh" as if trying to gross people out or make people understand that it is in fact dead animal flesh. I think people are pretty certain what they are eating is dead animal meat, when you go to the store and pick up a steak or a chicken, it's fairly clear. It's food, meat, yummy tasty T bone (not to be confused with our local MMAF street fighter, that guy has some amazing backfists).

As for eating meat being a "religion", uh, no. I don't worship my meat or have any stories about my meat, I don't walk around telling people they need to eat meat otherwise bad things will happen. I just eat meat. I get hungry, I drive passed KFC and I'm like "damn! that smells delicious!", and I go buy myself some hot wings. There's literally 0 thought put into it, It smells good, I'm hungry, it's tasty, I eat it, my belly gets full and I go about my day.

I suppose that's all I have to say about that video.

Planet Earth is inhabited by many species in different grades of evolution. The most evolved species on Earth are the humans, therefore, we can tell after a brief analysis, this planet is not one of the most evolved in the universe.

Nature is beautiful, but still savage and cruel and some of the most evolved human beings devote lots of their time to preserve countless species of predators, for they are part of the ecosystem. Shouldn't them be protecting the zebras and deers from tigers and lions, then? No. Nature follow its course.

That being said, eating meat is the most natural thing to do given humans current stage in evolution.
