Sugar Is Killing Us

First a couple of short and to the point videos...





I decided to make this thread instead of climbing on reptiles soapbox in the meat thread. This one won't be as much fun as that one because there's no moral judgments of moral judgments. It's simple truth. The title says it all.
SUGAR IS KILLING US.

The scientific evidence is clear and it's been piling up for decades.

OBESITY
HEART DISEASE
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
HIGH CHOLESTERAL
FATTY LIVER DISEASE
DIEBETES
ALZHEIMERS
CAVITIES
Sugar isn't a factor in these diseases, it is THE CAUSE.

There is plenty of new research to support this but it is not news. It has been known and ignored for 100 years.

In 1929 Jack Lallane attended a lecture on the “evils of sugar and flour” and it changed his life. Before that he was a sick, weak 15 year old boy with behavior problems. He went on to be a world famous pioneer in fitness. It all started when he quit eating sugar.

BULLSHIT. It's the sugar. It's always been the sugar and it's poorer relation flour.

Flour was a great invention back when not starving in winter was our primary health issue but it is just a little less harmful than sugar

There is zero scientific proof that GMO's or aspartame are harmful. There is a huge amount of proof that sugar is.why do we ignore it? because we love sugar. like a junky loves heroin.


stop drinking those sugary drinks and take control of your health or spend your life in the system, paying for drugs that allow you to keep taking the poison until it kills you.

I still have to finish my bottle of coke, but you know what, I might try this no sugar stuff. I have to say, I'm pretty addicted to coke.

Salt does not affect your blood pressure nearly as much as sugar. Did you know that they have dramatically increased the sugar in coke in my lifetime. They increased the sugar to hide the taste of the salt. They added the salt to make you thirsty.

it's not just "sugary foods". that's the problem. we aren't just eating sugar when we have sweets. sugar is beeing added to almost every processed food there is.

Clyde I challenge you to go to the grocery store and find packaged food products that don't have added sugar. Except for the meat and produce it's not an easy thing to do. By the time you have that afternoon candy bar you've already had 4-5 times the safe daily amount of sugar in food you didn't think of as "sugary food"

ALL KINDS. That's another way they fool you. There are more than 70 names for added sugar r and every one of them destroys your liver.

your liver actually turns to fat. (not just in obese people either) Once your liver becomes about 10% fat your days are short.

oldfan you're right, it's in everything, but again don't we know that? Maybe having a revolution against it is good because it could get them to cut back on what at times is an unneeded additive, but I don't think this is something big that we dont know. We know what it can cause and we know it's in everything we eat. We're the ones purposefully eating the shite though.
