Beer

Beer. I love beer. Let's discuss all kinds of beer in here.

I'll start with this:

I'm from a place where if you go into a pub and ask for a 'Pint of Scotch' you'll in fact receive a pint of sweet and heady dark Ale.

Tag me whenever you make a "discount lager" thread. Then I'll have all sorts of Bavaria, Karpacki and Dutch Gold to post

I liked Franciscan Well, or "Rebel Red", which was sold around here for a while.

Looks like Spite opened the floor gates so my cheap shit can be added.

European Lager is damn expensive over in Australia so Pure Blonde has become my lager of choice. Ultra low carb too which helps with the old belly.

In terms of Ale any time I can pick up something brewed by brewdog its a good day

@ClydebankBlitz the FranWell beers are great, Rebel Red, Blarney Blonde are both great beers, I didn't even know you could get them outside of Cork!

Only one I've seen is Rebel. I didn't even know it was a "brand", I thought that was called Franciscan Well actually. They started selling it up around Meath, or at least in my then-local, about 2 years ago I think.

I headed to that pub for a night when my brother was over about 2-3 ago. Wanted a pint of that for the first time in ages. Fkers hadn't delivered the keg, apparently they are really inconsistent at deliveries, so I was stuck drinking some shit I couldn't pronounce when sober let alone drunk.

@Spite , Peroni is actually cheap enough here. But I meant you opened the floor gates by posting lagers, which would then allow me to post my lagers (which are all cheap shit). Wouldn't buy Stella myself but would be more than happy to drink it. Can't get through a stella post without mentioning the word wifebeaters though eh?

There a pub called Franciscan Well in Cork and they only sell their own beers (rebel red and the likes) it's always packed and the female clientele is top class, spent many a night in there.
