No, you have a VR5. It's the same engine as the VR6 with a cylinder chopped off. 15 degree v5.

Don't do the swap if your car is still under warranty.

Theres gotta be more of a difference than that. Putting on that one cylinder should not boost it an xtra 100hp. Also not being turboed thats gotta have some good flow through it and a good ECU. That things gonna get like 17MPG probobly

The R32 is bigger than the normal VR6, 3.2 compared to 2.8ltr.

The R32 Golf gets 18/23mpg according to the EPA.

if you do this swap take pictures of every step. I would love to see this in action. If it turns out pretty good you might have intrigued me to check out VW's next. I am a DSM and a probe GT, Escort GT type person but open for new views. I like the small cars and jettas fit that pretty decent. Plus there not to expensive. But yes, If the car is warrantied I wouldnt touch it unless you can get the swap under warranty.

Thats what I'm afraid of. (voiding the warranty)

Which is why I've decided to just work with what I have.

I'm ordering a Carbonio CAI +7hp
with GAIC ECU Tuning +10hp

Then later on GHL Exhaust and custom Turbo (maybe)

The only mods on it right now are Eibach Pro kit and Eibach Anti Roll Kit

whats the gaic ecu tuning??? Sounds like something that controls air flow. Just make sure it isnt one of those adds on ebay that say add 25+hp. They just send a resistor in the mail you stick into a sensor harness, They are complete junk. But they should have a chip or reflash program for your ecu that should spark a good few hp.

I just started using 91 octane but for a while I was using regular because thats what it says to use on the gas cap. But being i'm a spirited driver, I should be forking out the xtra $$ to get it

A CAI probably won't get you 7hp.

There is no point putting high octane in it unless it needs it, you won't get any more power.
