VR6 Engine into Jetta (Question if anyone knows)

I have a 2.5 Volkswagen Jetta. I feel the 2.5 engine is not fast enough for me

So I had an epiphany today. I was thinking about what I could do to make the engine I already have better but unfourtunately, turbo kits, and serious power upgrades won't be availiable for a while.

So I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to do an engine swap with the R32's VR6 engine. Im not sure of the R32's engine bay size or if it is even possible but if anyone knows please respond or PM me because the douches over a VWVortex forums are assholes and keep redirecting me to search engines and that could take a long time to find out everything I need to know.

Danke

I will never buy an american car as long as I live. If american cars were the only automobiles left, I would walk to get around before I step into a Ford, Chevy, Dogde, Cadillac or Hummer Piece of Shit, and thats real!!!!

European and Japanese cars are better in every aspect to American Cars who are more concerned about making a sale that the quality and reliability of the vehicles they sell.

I woulndn't expect you to understand where I'm coming from with that stupid ass avatar

Even if its possible do you realize how much money thats gonna cost you if you dont do it yourself. Ok so I checked out that engine and I still dont know if you can do it but I can say for sure its not worth it. The engine only pushes 174hp and that is nothing. A probe GT stock pushes 164hp and add on a borla exhaust and cold air intake and it will be faster then your jetta still and total the car with mods is 2grand tops. I wouldnt wanna be wooped like that after paying over 5grand for the vr6 swap. Go to a shop and have them make you a custom turbo kit for a few grand. Well worth it and it will be one of the only ones around.

Yeah, it'd be a pretty easy swap.

247hp in the R32. You're thinking of the 2.8.

No the engine I have now is a 2.5 In-Line 5 cylinder which only has 150hp. I was going to get the 2.0 Turbo GLI (200hp) but it was too much for what I was making when I decided to buy the car.

The 3.2 VR6 which powers the R32's puts out 250hp

Evo's are nice but they cost a good penny. For the same power for cheaper an eclipse or talon is better. It has the same AWD turbo platform as the evo. Just gotta get a new turbo to match the power. Still you can make a talon 400hp for 5k. Thats awsome and what I have in the making. I never saw an inline 5 until I was in college for auto tech and someone brought one in. I think it was a honda.

Thats what I was going to get originally before I got a jetta. I was going to get a used 05' EVO 8 but first off it was too expensive and I've known a lot of people who have had issues with theirs. In fact Mitsubishi is on Consumer Reports top list of most unreliable car companies next to Land Rover, Jaguar and Mercedes Benz. Also the new evo's look god awful.
